PUT YOUR FEET IN MY SHOES

Put Your Feet in My Shoes
By Arabinrin Temitope

Life is a journey, and every journey has shoes. The shoes we wear may look the same on the outside, but the roads we walk on are very different.
Many times in life, we judge people quickly. We see how they dress, how they speak, or where they are today, and we assume we know their story. But life does not work that way. Everyone is walking a path shaped by their own experiences, pain, joy, struggles, and victories. What feels easy to one person may be very hard for another.

Some shoes have walked through rough roads. Roads filled with rejection, delay, loss, and unanswered prayers. Other shoes may have walked through smooth paths, but even smooth paths come with hidden battles of fear, pressure, expectations, and silent tears. Life does not give the same script to everyone. We all play different roles, at different times, on different stages.

When someone reacts differently, thinks differently, or moves at a slower pace, it is not always because they are weak or lazy. Sometimes, it is because the road they are walking is heavier. The weight of life is not the same for everyone. Some people are carrying responsibilities they never asked for. Some are healing from wounds no one can see.

Putting your feet in someone else’s shoes means choosing empathy over judgment. It means listening before speaking. It means understanding that life has taught people lessons in different ways. What you learned through joy, another person may have learned through pain.

Life is personal. Success is personal. Growth is personal. Timing is personal. Comparing lives is unfair because no two journeys are the same. We all have our own pace, our own season, and our own purpose. You never truly know what someone is facing until you walk their path.

So before you judge, pause. Before you speak, think. Before you conclude, understand. Because if you truly put your feet in their shoes, you may walk differently, talk differently, and love more deeply.

Life is not one-size-fits-all. It fits everyone according to their own story.

THE QUIET STRENGTH WITHIN

The Quiet Strength Within

Written by Arabinrin Temitope

Sometimes, strength does not shout.
Sometimes, it sits quietly in a woman’s eyes, in the calm on her face, and in the peace she carries within.

You see, this life is not always about being loud or being seen. Many times, true courage shows itself in calm moments, when you choose grace over anger, patience over fear, and faith over worry.

As women, we carry many stories inside us. Some are painful, some are beautiful, and some are still unfolding. But every experience shapes us. It teaches us how to stand tall, even when our hearts are heavy. It teaches us how to breathe, even when life feels tight. It teaches us how to trust God, even when we do not understand everything happening around us.

I hope this write-up encourages every woman to embrace her own quiet strength.
You don’t have to shout to be powerful.
Your peace is power.
Your faith is power.
Your presence is power.

And every day, you are becoming a better version of yourself.
